Iberian network of
Geomining space
The spaces and entities included in the Network will be grouped into different thematic areas, according to their characteristics. Currently, the following areas have been identified:
1. SPACES TO VISIT
- GEOLOGICAL AND NATURAL SCIENCE MUSEUMS.
- MINING MUSEUMS.
- GEOLOGICAL AND MINING PARKS.
- GEOPARKS.
- NATURAL PROTECTED AREAS.
- PLACES OF GEOLOGICAL INTEREST (LIG).
- PLACES OF INTEREST OF THE MINING HERITAGE (LIPM).
- CAVITIES.
- SALT MINES.
- GEOLOGICAL.
- MINING.
- NATURALISTIC.
2. TASKS TO DO. What to do
- ROUTES.
- VISITS.
- COURSES.
3. COMPANIES AND ENTITIES.
Some of these thematic areas, especially the one dedicated to GEOLOGICAL MUSEUMS, are due to be expanded in the near future.
The different spaces will also be distributed by geographical areas.
Each will have a card and will be represented on the general map and the map of each of the sections. Basic information for each space will be provided in the card, such as the following
- Website.
- Email.
- Postcode.
- Telephone numbers.
- Personal contact or location.
- Brief description of the space.
- Photographs or images.
All this information will be written in one of the five network languages. If necessary, other peninsular languages (ARANESE, ARAGONESE, ASTURIAN, BASQUE or GALICIAN) may be used in the card. It is desirable that the explanation in the web pages is available in at least two of the five languages of the Web.
